Lieve Olivera
Lieve "Olivia" Olivera was born in Belgium. After majoring in languages and literature, Lieve had the opportunity to nurture her passion for sports, opening a successful competitive gymnastics school while residing on the Gold Coast, Australia. Lieve was selected to participate in the International Judges' Course in Switzerland, where she earned the prestigious brevet of International Gymnastics Judge.
Throughout her career, Lieve represented her country, serving as a judge at elite international events, including World Championships, America’s Cup, Pacific Alliance Games, Grand Prix International, and multiple Olympic selection trials.
Lieve toured with the pre-Olympic Australian gymnastics team, judging in Romania, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany, as well as lecturing at international judges' courses. The Australian Gymnastics Federation appointed Lieve to be the official announcer of the Medal Ceremony in the French language at the World Gymnastics Championships in Melbourne, Australia.
Currently, Lieve Olivera serves as the International Representative of the Board of Directors of the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. This prestigious position involves selecting and inducting Olympic legends for their excellence in and contribution to the sport of Olympic gymnastics.
As a certified Pickleball instructor and Global Ambassador, Lieve spearheaded the inception of Pickleball as a sport for Special Olympics in Sarasota, Florida.
Lieve resides in Sarasota, FL, with her husband, world-renowned musician, Maestro Hector Olivera.
